Ways of saving Money/ Saving Energy/ Saving Money
Some more ways of saving money are to only heat the rooms that you use, and always cook in the smallest pan on the smallest suitable ring at the lowest convenient temperature. Also try to close outside doors and freezer doors as quickly as possible. You could take a shower instead of a bath. Also by defrosting your freezer twice a year means 10% less on running costs, which in turn saves you more money.

More ways to save money is by turning your heating and water down a notch. Install a timer on your central heating, in the winter set it for just before you get out of bed. A dimmer switch prolongs the life of standard bulbs and cuts the cost of electricity up to 75%. Fluorescent tubes last 10 times longer than 100 watt bulbs and cost half as much to run. Also just an average of 1 degree increases adds 8% to an average heating bill. And block off any fireplaces not in use to save heat loss.

Another way to save on energy that saves you money is before you buy an appliance, compare the cost of running each appliance. A lot of these new appliances carry energy ratings. Also avoid tumble dryers if possible because they use a lot of electricity, use an airer or clothes line instead.

Another way to save money is by saving energy. You can do this by lagging your hot water tank and pipes. Insulating pipe work in unheated places like under floorboards means that the pipes are less likely to burst in the winter, as well as saving you money.

Another way to save some money is to become a bargain shopper. This is something I really try hard to do, because having three kids gets pretty expensive. I am always looking for ways to save money. Buying clothes for three kids can sometimes be overwhelming. The best time of the year to buy clothes are at the end of the season. For example it is almost the end of winter so right now is the best time to buy winter coats, boots, jeans, all fall and winter clothing. The trick is that you buy it for next season. I try so hard to do that with my kids. It does get harder to do though the older they get because you sometimes don't know what size they will be in the following year. It was much easier to do when they were younger. I save tons of money on boots, shoes, sweater, jackets. Spring and summer merchandise usually goes into clearance in June and July. Always remember too that when the demands is high so will the price. So in the winter you should try to buy lawnmowers, grills and other summer equipment. So in the summer buy things you need in the winter. These are are great tricks for saving money.
